FINALLY: Oahu Day Two - Rainbow Classic Day Two

Yeah, I know, I was supposed to put this up at the beginning of the week. Thanks to being under the weather for a little bit, and watching way too much football, plus a one-sided Rose Bowl Game (which I predicted to be that way), I figured now was a better time than ever to put up the final day blog from the 45th Annual Rainbow Classic.

Oh, why was I sick again?

Yep. That's the culprit. Chicken Strips and fries from the Stanley. I haven't felt the same since. Chicken Strips are best served with sauces...none given here (unless you just wanted to squirt ketchup and mustard, which defeats the point).

The first game of the day featured the Pepperdine Waves in Orange and the Buffalo Bulls in blue. This may have been the game from the first two days of the tournament, as Buffalo won in overtime on a game winning shot with 0.8 remaining on the clock. And yes, there were a few more people that came down to watch. Not much.

The second game featured Coppin State, a NCAA tournament team from last year, and the Buffaloes from Colorado. Colorado's head coach was the former coach of the Denver Nuggets, Jeff Bzedelik. Colorado played well in this game, and Coppin State tried to fly around and stay in it in the second half, but the Buffs were too strong for the Eagles.

Good trip all around for me, and it was fun to watch Division I Men's Basketball in person for the first time in my life.

Next Tuesday and Wednesday, by the way, Stan Costales and I will be back on the island of Oahu, bringing you UHH Vulcan Basketball against BYU-Hawaii!
